Erin O'Leary

Erin is this summer’s Trout Ecology Technician. She previously worked as a camp counselor for the TMCC summer camp and has been volunteering for and attending TMCC events since moving to the Mt. Washington Valley in 2023. She is eager to develop more skills in the stream conservation field such as macroinvertebrate assessment, e-fishing, and strategic woody additions.
Erin grew up on the south shore of Massachusetts. Her summers were spent swimming and fishing at Ezekiel Pond where her passion for freshwater ecosystems was sparked. She has been finding opportunities to work in conservation since high school and values her past experiences including SCUBA diving to remove invasive milfoil, rescuing cold stunned sea turtles, and most recently, tracking endangered American wood turtles using radio telemetry. Her hobbies include starting more art projects than she can finish and attending to a plethora of house plants and fish tanks. She was very excited to design this year’s TMCC T-shirt.
