Laura is the owner of White Birch Books in North Conway Village, a beloved local staple they have successfully owned and operated for over 20 years. A passionate advocate for local economies, [Name] has been a driving force behind the White Mountain Independents since the group's inception. Their commitment to the book industry spans both regional and national trade organizations, ensuring a mindset of continuous growth, adaptation, and lifelong learning.

Over the past two decades, Laura has collaborated extensively with schools, libraries, and non-profits throughout the Mount Washington Valley, establishing deep roots within the community.

Laura brings a robust background in governance, financial oversight, and committee leadership to the Tin Mountain Board. Their extensive board experience includes:

  • New England Independent Booksellers Association (NEIBA): Advisory Council (2024–Present), Board President (2018–2020), and Board Director (2017, 2021)
  • American Booksellers Association: Advisory Council (2022–2024)
  • White Mountain Independents: Treasurer (2021–Present) and Marketing Committee Member (2016–Present)
  • MSAD 72 School Board: Board Member (Two terms, 2010–2016)

Laura’s tie to Tin Mountain Conservation Center comes full circle from parenthood; their son was a frequent attendee of Tin Mountain day camps growing up and is currently completing his final year at the University of Wyoming.  Laura resides in Fryeburg with their three cats.
