Natural Burial in Conserved Spaces
More people are asking for environmentally responsible burials, without chemicals or use of natural resources. Many of them have a deep commitment to conservation. How can we create spaces that ensure protection of both land and burials? What goes into conservation easements that allow for private and public burial? What benefits and challenges are involved in allowing burial activity on protected lands? How are these spaces managed in perpetuity? These are just some of the questions we'll explore. Lee Webster of NH Funeral Resources, Natural Burial NH, and White Mountain Conservation Burial, the nonprofit that oversees Oliverian Everlasting Conservation Burial Ground in Benton, NH, will speak before leading a community discussion.
This program is free and open to the public.
